You do not plan to visit the emergency department.  It just happens, and usually when you least expect it.  The staff of the emergency room at Sunbury Community Hospital strives to provide timely, professional, and skilled care to the community.  The Emergency Room is staffed 24-hours a day with a team of qualified physicians and nurses. On call physicians are also available in many specialties. 

The more than 11,000 square feet facility includes 14 treatment areas, including dedicated exam rooms specially equipped for critical care patients, gynecology and obstetrics, isolation, orthopedics, and patient fast tracking.  The nurses’ station open and spacious design improves the coordination of care between physicians and clinical staff while allowing nurses to visualize patients and the department’s activity level.  The end result is more efficient patient care and a system that allows physicians and staff to better monitor and track patients through their visit.
