The Behavioral Health Unit at Sunbury Community Hospital & Outpatient Center offers intensive personalized treatment to individuals 18 to 65 years of age with behavioral health problems. The unit can also admit patients aged 65 and older if they are able to actively participate in the therapy program. The unit is located on the fifth floor of the hospital and has 12 private patient rooms, two large group activity/therapy rooms which include a patient dining room and a patient lounge area.
We offer individualized care in a warm, supportive atmosphere. The first thing our professional team will do is a thorough evaluation to help determine what's causing your distress and how we can best help you. Our clinical team will check to see if there are any underlying medical or biochemical origins to your symptoms. The team will then work with you, your family and other healthcare professionals to develop a course of treatment that's right for you.
Treatment includes individual meetings with psychiatrists, group therapy, and educational programs.
