PROMOTIONS AT SUNBURY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL
SUNBURY, PA (March 24, 2010)- The administration at Sunbury Community Hospital is proud to announce the promotion of two staff members. Deborah Brokenshire, of Mt. Carmel, has been promoted from Director of Laboratory Services to Director of Quality Management and Regulatory Compliance. Jen Grayson, of Mt. Carmel, has been promoted from Hematology Section Supervisor to Interim Director of Laboratory Services.
Mrs. Brokenshire has been employed at Sunbury Community Hospital for seven years. During this time, she has been responsible for an increase in the outreach programs offered by the Sunbury Community Hospital Laboratory, an initial laboratory accreditation by the Joint Commission and a recent two year re-accreditation from the Joint Commission. Within the hospital, Deb is a member of the Caring Heart Customer Service Team and is a past recipient of the Clinical Manager of the Year Award and the Manager/Director Service Excellence Award. Outside of the hospital, she serves on the Advisory Board for Family Medical Home Health Agency and is a 2008 graduate of Leadership Susquehanna Valley and is a recipient of the MBA Award of Excellence from Alvernia College. Deb received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Lebanon Valley College and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Alvernia College.
Mrs. Grayson has been working in the laboratory at Sunbury Community Hospital for more than 12 years. Before becoming the Hematology section supervisor, she worked as a medical laboratory technologist. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology from Misericordia University and in 2006 was voted as the Sunbury Community Hospital Employee of the Year.
