PRACTICAL IDEAS TO HELP US ALL ON THE WAY TO BETTER HEALTH
Why is it that the United States is one of the most overweight countries around the world? Where do we start and what can we do? From buddy systems to biggest loser clubs, from cutting out a few calories to walking around the house more, come hear some easy, practical ideas to help us all on the way to better health and lighter bodies.
On Monday, May 24, at 7pm, Sunbury Community Hospital will host a presentation on obesity by Dr. Jacqueline B. Sallade. This presentation will be held in the hospital’s ground floor conference room and is free and open to the public.
Dr. Sallade is a clinical psychologist from Lewisburg, PA. For over 35 years, she has worked with many forms of eating habits and disorders, emotional difficulties, and physical and practical problems which affect people's everyday functioning and health.
Dr. Sallade is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, where she also completed a post-doctoral study in clinical psychology. She is a diplomate in Clinical Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology. Her research on the topic of obesity and obesity in children includes her Doctoral dissertation- The Psychological Adjustment of Obese Children.
