Volunteering

A cheery visit on a quiet afternoon, a supportive hand that reassures or a handcrafted ornament on a food tray are only a few of the many ways community volunteers "bring personal care to life" at Sunbury Community Hospital & Outpatient Center.

Volunteers have important roles at your community hospital. Donating time, energy, talent and support, volunteers and auxiliary members contribute greatly to the well-being of our patients and families, whether serving as a volunteer in the snack bar, the OR, or as a trustee.

The dedication of these special people transcends generations and has served as the foundation for much of the hospital's success during its 106-year history. Whether serving as a trustee or on the tally team of the hospital's annual walkathon, volunteers make contributions of time and talent that are greatly appreciated.

An exceptional group of people is the clergy community. They contribute many hours to the Chaplaincy program coordinated by John Caudle. Because of their commitment and dedication, our patients and their families have access to pastoral care 24 hours a day.
